After listening to my children beg repeatedly, I broke down and took them to the library. Now, I must add that this is the third trip this week. Yes...it is only Friday. How many books can they read you ask? Well if you are keeping track (I am) they have checked out 36 books between them, and yes, they have read all of them cover to cover. When we got to the library there were no cars in the parking lot and I started laughing....
The girls started moaning and crying....
There was a big sign in the door that said, "LIBRARY CLOSED FOR HOLIDAY WEEKEND."
Now they are begging to go to Barnes and Nobles to buy some books to read. Like we don't have ten million in the bookshelves at home. I guess I should be grateful that I have taught them to love the written word as much as they do, but sometimes it drives me to drink....
Next stop...Sonic, for a Route 44 diet cranberry limeade.
