We love apple pie in our house, but I must confess it has been a while since I have made a homemade pie. This recipe is a no-fail (just what I need) bake in a brown bag-no peeking- kind of deal. My kids think I am nuts and that I would for sure burn the house down today! I assured them I knew what I was doing, and yes, even though it has been awhile since I have cooked a pie from scratch, I have used this recipe before. It does work, and the pie comes out perfect every time as long as you don't peek! I have used this recipe for about 10 yrs and to be honest I have no idea where I got it from (probably Mom). Here it is fresh from the oven and look kids no fire and the bag is still in tact. :)
Here is the pie after the bag is opened. Delicious! Now we have to wait for daddy to get home to eat. The girls are on the phone telling him to drive faster! Gotta love it! Apple season is the best.
