Rich and I went to Bowie, Texas for the MUTA party his squadron holds every May. It was a fun day. My kids refused to go so we left them at home. They were freaked out by the speared pig last year. This is a baby goat that is only five days old. He was the cutest thing. He was the mascot for the party.
Of course you can't have a party without the pig.....right?
He roasted over the coals for hours until it rained. He was never eaten, because he never cooked all the way through. It rained so hard they could not keep the fire going. I had to take a picture anyway just for my girls.
This oak tree was on the property next to the barn we spent the day in (because of the rain) and it is about 100 years old. I thought it was the coolest tree. Rich and I had a good time. The food was catered (barbeque of course....we live in Texas) and it was delicious. The people were great and it was just a fun day. The Air Force always puts on a great party and we we were happy to be a part of it.
